“We do not write in order to be understood; we write in order to understand.”

— C.S. Lewis

As spiritual companions, we long to bring the fullness of connection and communion to those we share sacred space with. This journaling webinar series offers an engaging and hands-on way to renew that intention.

Each time we write in our journal, we practice presence. Each time we return to the page, we renew our capacity for connection—with self, others, creation, and the Divine. In this practice, communion unfolds naturally, reminding us that all things are held in sacred relationship.

Throughout our sessions, we’ll engage in spiritual journaling using writing prompts from poetry, music, meditation, and embodied practices. We’ll explore how spiritual journaling can become a practice of connection and communion—one that nurtures presence within ourselves and those we companion.

This webinar series will:

“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”

— Rumi

Session Outline

Session One: Cultivating Presence and Connection

In this session, we’ll explore spiritual journaling as a practice of presence—learning to slow down, listen deeply, and open to the movement of the Spirit within and around us. Through reflection and guided writing, we’ll attend to what is alive in our hearts and discover how journaling can nurture connection and compassion with self, others, creation, and the Divine.

Session Two: Writing for Communion

Building on this foundation of presence, we’ll enter more deeply into the experience of communion—the sacred flow of connection that unites all things. We allow our journal writing practice to be a source of spiritual nourishment and resilience. Through shared reflection, contemplative writing, and gentle conversation, we’ll explore how journaling becomes a meeting place with the Holy, where we listen, respond, and rest in the grace of belonging.

“The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.”

— Henry Miller
