Scholarships

Diversity Scholarship Fund
SDi is delighted to announce a new scholarship fund. The scholarship will pay for tuition costs for a 2-year graduate program in spiritual companionship or the equivalent. It will be awarded to a student who will add to the diversity of our global spiritual direction community – someone who needs financial aid to obtain this level of training in spiritual companionship.

Sister Mary Ann Scofield, RSM, International Scholarship Fund
For over a decade, the Sister Mary Ann Scofield, RSM International Scholarship Fund has supported spiritual directors around the world and across traditions by providing resources, publications, educational program support, and membership opportunities.

US Scholarship Fund
Help students, spiritual directors, and others in the United States who need assistance with membership dues.

Educational Events Scholarship Fund
Economic hardship, geographic location, and other constraints prevent many from participating in SDI educational events. You can help by donating towards this fund for event scholarships and bursaries.
Other Initiatives

New Contemplatives Initiative
The New Contemplatives Initiative seeks to illuminate the web of connections with and among emerging spiritual companions in hopes of creating more opportunities for spiritual guidance and contemplative formation for those in the first half of life.

Tree Planting
Spiritual Directors International is committed to “going green” and using the Earth’s resources respectfully. But going green is about more than using fewer resources; it’s also about giving back to a world that’s given much to each of us.
