“When the root is established, the Way grows.”
— Confucius, Analects 1.2
Spiritual growth isn’t always about becoming someone new. Sometimes it’s about deepening our roots, letting go of what no longer serves us, and recognizing signs of new life already unfolding within us.
In this four-week journey, we’ll explore the sacred rhythms of Being and Becoming through four movements: Rooting, Pruning, Branching, and Harvesting. We begin by rooting ourselves in God—the Ground of Being and Source of life—learning to rest in the Ground that sustains us. Through pruning, we let go of attachments, habits and beliefs that no longer serve us. In the space created, branching invites us to welcome new possibilities and the life unfolding within us. Finally, harvesting encourages us to recognize, receive, and share the fruits of spiritual growth.
Through teaching, contemplative practice, and shared reflection, we’ll explore a question at the heart of the spiritual journey: What becomes possible when we stop trying to force our growth and begin trusting the life already unfolding within us?
“What is no longer serving you? What old ideas, habits, or beliefs need to be let go? And how do we do that with grace? What new life is already naturally unfolding within?”
