Illuminate the path of your spiritual direction growth and evolution!
As we travel, we easily get lost without a map. A spiritual direction practice is a kind of epic journey with many twists, turns, and dead ends. We can navigate this journey more confidently as we learn the contours of the map.
In this session I define four phases, with their unique landmarks, that help us locate where our practice is and where we want it to go.
The phases are:
- 1) Learning & Limping
- 2) Digesting & Developing
- 3) Claiming & Creating
- 4) Surrendering & Serving
If you are ready to take your practice to its next level, join us for this unique conversation among spiritual directors.

I’ve been a spiritual seeker since childhood. A spiritual thread has run through my life and led me to my current passion, which is to help people wake up to a life of greater abundance, freedom, and service in the world. Based in Minneapolis, I’ve had hundreds of clients as a spiritual counselor, spiritual director, and leadership/life coach through our Sojourners Institute.
Since 2004, I’ve loved training spiritual directors and leading programs in spiritual development, which in more recent years I do with my wife, Melanie. I also provide workshops, retreats, and leadership consultation focusing on spiritual growth and/or the Enneagram.
