Desert Spirituality – “The Place of Great Undoing”
The desert invites us to go into the vulnerable places inside to face and to let go of what we find, to leave the God we know and meet a God we don’t know and can’t possibly imagine.
Spiritual direction and companionship inspires people to experience authenticity in their lives as they connect with and explore the ground of all being, that deepest of truths which is beyond life and death and goes by many names, including God, and no name at all.Â
The spiritual companions of SDI share their stories on our blog. Receive nourishment, learn a new practice, and gain insight into the healing modality of spiritual companionship through one of the stories shared below.

As a spiritual director, my vocation is to listen and to help people to pray. How can I do this for an individual during a short session with me, but not for my own children?

In recent years spiritual direction has entered the mainstream. More and more people understand that body, mind, and spirit need regular check-ups and check-ins. And where there is a demand, there will also be a supply.

The more in touch I become with the beauty of each step, the less agitated I feel about the length of the travel
