Profile: I offer a safe, attentive space for you to share and reflect on your life stories; a space where you can explore all you are called to be and do. Together, we pay attention to what God is up to in and through the everyday stuff of life. You are invited to slow down, and enter into a contemplative place that does not rush to answers but waits to discern the voice of God’s Spirit and guidance. Through gentle questioning, I guide you towards what may be stirring within you. I believe silence is a good friend in this work and I start our time together with an opening prayer of invitation and quietness.
My work is rooted in the Christian tradition, which grounds me and helps me sit with all as an act of generous hospitality. I am equally comfortable accompanying individuals and facilitating group workshops and retreats.
Here is a little about me:
I hold a Masters in Spiritual Formation and a Spiritual Direction Certificate from Portland Seminary.
I worked for over 30 years in the field of career counselling and development work, predominately in England. Most recently, I was the Career and Vocational Counsellor at The King's University in Edmonton, Alberta. In that role, I combined my professional background with my skills in spiritual direction, helping students navigate their career paths in ways that integrated and aligned with their spiritual journeys.
I am a certified Myers Briggs (MBTI) practitioner and hold certification in the Enneagram Spectrum Method. I find these tools are helpful pathways to relational transformation with self and others.
Outside of paid employment, I have spent 25 plus years working as a volunteer with youth and raised three children who are now adults. I am also a grandma which brings me great joy. Talking of joy, I’m into photography, am partial to Indian curries, (my heritage) and cheesecake, (not my heritage!) My favourite way to spend an evening is to gather friends around a dinner table.
I look forward to accompanying you in whatever season you may find yourself in.
