Profile: Hi there, my name is Sejana Yoo. I am a person of Christian faith that is sensitive and respectful of others as we journey along in life. I am very open to listening to people who don't believe as I do, but are desiring genuine conversations about faith and life, death, and transitions. I have many family members and friends that I care deeply about and yet we have different views. I enjoy prayerfully listening to those that want to grow spiritually or would like support as they live and lead others. I am mixed race – Black and Asian. We have moved around every 2-3 years due to the military life so I have experienced a lot of transitions and have lived in different contexts/cultures overseas. I am married raising 2 growing teens who are still finding their place here now that we are in Texas and are exploring their identity and beliefs. I am comfortable listening to spirituality, deconstruction of faith, church life woes, relationships, end of life, grief, race issues, leadership challenges, interpersonal life concerns, identity exploration, values, the Divine, migration / being displaced through immigration, and more. My dream job is to use all of my life and listening skills to help leaders clarify their inner selves so that they can continue to go out into the world doing the great work that they get to do. Working with leaders, or any person who shares their story with me, is a gift. Our time together will be treated as such. I am also open to discussing spiritual direction sessions for groups or organizations. I am comfortable facilitating groups online and in multiple time zones for community and spiritual conversation. I have just recently been awarded the status of Provisional Board Certified Chaplain (PBCC) by the national Board of Chaplaincy Certification Inc. (BCCI). I am currently working as a Hospital Chaplain (PRN) at a trauma level 1 hospital. I completed Spiritual Direction Certification Training and my second masters degree for a masters of divinity at George W Truett Theological Seminary. I am an active duty Army Veteran.
