Profile: I operate from a belief that "Everything Belongs" to borrow Richard Rohr's catchphrase. Everything we experience in life from the most spiritual encounter to the most mundane… It all belongs and has something to teach us, but sometimes we need a companion on our journey to help us really SEE. There's a metaphor that really helps me look at spiritual direction. Imagine, if you will, spiritual direction as the unraveling of a tightly wound thread. I believe that we all have life circumstances, wounds, and ways we’ve needed to behave in the world to find love… these things become like threads that keep us wound up and distracted. My role as spiritual director is to partner with the Holy Spirit and help you notice the threads, to ask questions, and provide a compassionate space for you to explore those threads in God’s presence. I believe that what is happening in our lives, what we perceive as both good and bad, can be clues to lead us to find God in the everyday moments of our lives. In my own experience, spiritual direction has been life changing! I was looking for a space where I could process during a season of burnout, and it began a journey of healing and embracing a new way of being in my life and ministry. My background includes community development, member care, helping people navigate loss and life transitions. I have been trained as a Spiritual Director with CenterQuest and also have enneagram training and extensive experience with multicultural work in Latin America. My passion is accompanying ministry leaders, as I have 16 years of experience in full time missions work internationally. Especially in the areas of burnout, helping walk through a season of discernment, and grief, loss and transition. I see such a huge need for ministry leaders to find a compassionate space where they can be honest about their questions and struggles about life, God, and ministry.
