Profile: If you'd like to cultivate deeper access to inner guidance as you navigate changes in your life, I am here to help. Spiritual direction, whether 1-1 or in a group, can help you remember who you are in the bigger context, and support you in opening to healing and spiritual connection. I utilize the tools of deep listening, guided meditation, personal ritual, movement, and traditional healing practices to support you in discovering your own answers and your own path. In addition to working 1-1 with individuals, I facilitate women's circles. These groups meet in weekly ceremony online, offering a sacred space to release, center, and find renewed strength and clarity.
My Background:
Masters in Social Work (1997-1999)
Ordained Interfaith Minister (2001-2003) and former interfaith Hospice Chaplain
Certified by Marika Alvarado, Apache elder, as Traditional Healer through Of The Earth School of Indigenous Medicine
Extensive studies and practice of mindfulness meditation in Thailand (Theravada Buddhist tradition), Nepal (Mahayana Tibetan Buddhist tradition), and the US (various practices) since 1996
Trained in facilitation through the Center for Attitudinal Healing
Trained in ritual and ceremony through my Jewish upbringing and ancestors
25+ years of individual counseling, group facilitation, ceremony officiation, teaching, and service work
What to expect in a spiritual direction session with me:
We begin with silence and centering. We then move into heart-centered conversation, deep inquiry, and intuitive practice when called for. Near the end of our time together, we'll close with an integration, so that when you leave, you feel a clear sense of next steps.
Frequency, Length, Location, and Fees:
Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes long and take place via video or phone. See my website for more information on both individual session and group fees. Please note that I also run a separate practice as a psychotherapist in Texas and that my fees are the same for all 1-1 work. Each session is a deep dive that you integrate into daily life through practice and contemplation; for spiritual direction, I most commonly schedule appointments on an as-needed or monthly basis.
On my website you will also find links to my mailing list, books, and information on groups, retreats, and personal ceremony facilitation for major life transitions.
