Profile: At many points in our life, we may be invited to reflect and explore the questions of "Who am I? What is my purpose? How then shall I live?" Delving into these opportunities and noticing what emerges may change the course of our lives. The very essence of our meaning and being in union with our Source is at the heart of this journey. This impacts every life we come in contact with as well. To be invited along as a spiritual companion is a sacred honor. Rather than interpreting meaning for you, spiritual companionship focuses on discerning together the movement of the Holy/Suchness/Dao. This mutual curiosity often reveals understandings for us both in our walk together. My background in spiritual direction stems from non-dual understanding and practices I have cultivated from my own experience. These practices include mindfulness meditation, centering prayer, neidan, qigong, taijiquan, and spiritual care and counseling training. This experience stems from multiple religious traditions and my own social location as 2nd generation BIPOC person in the U.S.. I affirm and have worked with individuals that identified as queer, trans, and non-binary people. I am an ordained Presbyterian Minister of Word and Sacrament (PC(USA)), a Buddhist practitioner, and a Daoist/Qi-gong practitioner and leader. I have served in other capacities as a hospital and organizational chaplain, congregational pastor, and musician. I received my doctorate in 2018 with my dissertation "The Spiritual Formation of a Courage-to-be: The Inter-religious Wisdom of Tillich, Buddhism, and Jazz." I was the professor of Spiritual Formation at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, assisting students in becoming spiritual leaders for their programs of Inter-religious Chaplaincy, Social Transformation, Theology and the Arts, and congregational ministry. I am certified as a spiritual director by Christos Center in Lino Lakes, MN.
