Profile: As an ever-evolving person in an ever-evolving world, spiritual direction has been a place of refuge for my own weary soul. That is what I hope to offer as a director and companion as well, a space that is peaceful, where you can feel safe to process your experiences, express your emotions, and wrestle with ideas and doubts as we open to God's guidance, healing, and care for you together. I hold a certificate in Spiritual Formation and The Art of Spiritual Direction from Healing Care Ministries and am trained as a Lay Pastoral Caregiver through Community of Hope International. And I am now training in Developmental Soul Care, a specialized modality that uses spiritual practices to position people for a dynamic encounter with God's love and truth through developmental affirmations and experiences with the Divine. My undergrad was in psychology, and I love connecting the fascinating world of neurobiology with contemplative spirituality. In my twenties, I lived in Italy, working with a mission organization to serve locals and internationals. I'm familiar with major international transitions, culture shock and reverse culture shock, vicarious trauma, conflict and confrontation, compassion fatigue, burnout, depression, anxiety, and reentry. These experiences have given me a lot of empathy for immigrants in the States and expats living abroad, whether they're working for a religious organization or not. I have been in a continual cycle of deconstructing and reconstructing my faith since before "deconstruction" was a commonplace term. Since experiencing and experimenting with many denominations and various flavors of Christianity, I've found my home in a Mennonite church after falling in love with Anabaptist theology. I am also fully affirming and glad to sit with people of any gender and orientation. While I approach spiritual direction from my own perspective and experience as a Christian, I welcome directees from a variety of spiritual backgrounds. Visit my website for more info!
