Profile: Hi, I’m Coby! I am a trauma informed spiritual director with roots in the Trinitarian Christian faith. Who I am as a spiritual director flows out of who I am as a human. I am a husband, father, and a follower of Jesus. I have been in pastoral ministry for nearly 20 years. I am passionate about the intersection of spiritual formation, inner healing, and racial justice. I love to laugh, dream, wonder as I wander, read, sing, exercise, cook, and work with wood. I long to see people and communities flourish in God’s shalom. My prayer is that we would become more alive and more aware of God’s love as we tend to what is present in and around us through holy listening. I have an undergraduate degree from Rhodes College (Memphis, TN). My Master of Divinity and my Spiritual Direction Certification are from Portland Seminary (Portland, OR). I am ordained a Pastor of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church. I currently pastor a church in SE Houston.
