Profile: I see spiritual direction more like accompaniment rather than directing. It gives me joy to come alongside another, offering the space, open ended questions and encouragement as one explores and deepens their relationship with God. Another passion of mine is supervision. I am honored to accompany other directors as they grow but in skill and personal awareness. Prior to becoming a director and a supervisor, I was an Audiologist. I moved from helping people hear their outer world to listening to their inner soul. I obtained a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Christian Formation Direction Ministries in 2011 and a certificate in Supervision from Mercy Center Burlingame in 2014. Having experience with the Contemplative Reflection Form, Verbatim, and Supervision Models by Lucy Abbott Tucker, I welcome whatever the supervisee chooses to bring. I also experienced the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and have lead others through this process. An area of expertise of mine is sexual trauma. I am a survivor and lead trauma groups for women. I have published two books, including an article in Presence Magazine (2019) on Spiritual Direction with Trauma Survivors. Statistics report one in three women and one in six men will experience some form of sexual trauma in their life time. Often directees may bring this up in direction. I can offer a safe place for you to explore this with God in direction and for directors in supervision.
