Profile Details
Rev. Erin Sloan Jackson brings over 25 years of ministry experience to her work as a spiritual director — 15 years in youth and young adult ministry followed by more than a decade in ordained ministry. She is ordained clergy in the United Methodist Church tradition. She holds a master's degree in Christian Spirituality from the SMU Perkins School of Theology, and is certified in spiritual direction, with additional training in CAST coaching and Prepare/Enrich premarital counseling.
Erin's approach to spiritual direction is warm, contemplative, and rooted in deep listening. Shaped by a Wesleyan theological identity, she creates space for directees to notice where grace is already at work in their lives — in seasons of clarity and in seasons of unraveling. She has particular experience walking alongside students, clergy and ministry leaders in vocational transition, women discerning new callings, couples preparing for marriage, and those processing grief or loss.
As a mother of four and a minister across two and a half decades — first with young people, now alongside adults navigating faith, transition, and calling — Erin brings lived experience to her listening. That experience shapes a particular compassion for walking alongside women through seasons of exhaustion, doubt, identity shifts, and quiet transformation, with patience for the mess and confidence that grace is present even in seasons that don't look like growth.
A trained practitioner of Art as a Spiritual Practice, Erin also offers an option of spiritual direction that incorporates mixed-media collage and creative reflection for directees who find words alone insufficient for the movements of the Spirit. She has led retreats and workshops, and is drawn to "thin places" — geographically and metaphorically — where the sacred and ordinary meet.
Erin offers spiritual direction both in person in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and virtually.
