Profile Details
I offer spiritual direction as a practice of attentive, compassionate listening. In our time together, I create space where you can slow down, reflect honestly, and be received without judgment. This work helps you notice what is shaping your inner life — your longings, questions, patterns, and hopes — and to discern what feels most life-giving and true.
For more than a decade, my vocation has been to accompany people through life’s most meaningful and often most challenging seasons. I have walked through my own periods of uncertainty and spiritual disorientation, and I understand how destabilizing those seasons can be. In our work together, we do not bypass difficulty. We approach it thoughtfully, drawing on curiosity, self-awareness, and compassion so that you can experience greater clarity, resilience, and integration.
I have worked with spiritual seekers, students, clergy, those in transition, and retirees. I am an ordained minister in the progressive United Church of Christ and a certified spiritual director formed in the Benedictine tradition, which emphasizes deep listening and stability of heart. My approach integrates spiritual practice with psychological insight. I draw on Polyvagal Theory — which helps us understand how the nervous system shapes our sense of safety and connection — along with somatic and embodied practices that support emotional regulation and self-awareness.
Whether we meet in my office in Kansas City or online, I offer a grounded and spacious environment for reflection and growth. Spiritual direction can help you develop a more coherent inner life, strengthen your emotional wellbeing, and cultivate a steady sense of meaning and peace. If this approach resonates with you, I welcome you to reach out and begin a conversation.
