Profile Details

Your spiritual journey will be the focus of our sessions. I am a Unitarian Universalist religious professional eager to companion all people of liberal faiths as well as those with no worship home.

We will use your stories, experiences and wonderings to explore who you are and your connection to the divine by:

—holy listening and gentle questioning

—exploring the language of the divine that resonates with you, or challenges you

—your interpretations of symbolism, images, dreams

—engaging in brief guided meditations

—silence

—using tools such as the Enneagram, energy work, or symbolic cards to prompt connections

I am also a supervisor of spiritual directors, offering individual supervision.

I have a long experience with UU Wellspring, a yearlong spiritual deepening program. I have been a Unitarian Universalist for thirty years where I I have developed a deep connection with ministers, seminarians, religious educators and families. I was the former President of The Liberal Religious Educators Association and I have been the Head of a private school and the Learning Center Director of a large independent school as well a an international trainer of adults with the Great Books Foundation. I am a credentialing mentor and curriculum co-writer of a program called Adult Faith Formation.

Although most of my practice is with adults, I also provide spiritual direction for children and youth. My training and supervision for working with children and youth is with Good Dirt Ministries.

I was raised Lutheran and I have have traveled and lived in many countries, including Indonesia, Jamaica, Colombia, and Germany. This global perspective has provided a glimpse into many cultures and an understanding that perspectives are based in our experiences, yet our yearning for deep connection remains universal.

I have been immersed in studying white supremacy culture and anti-racism for over a decade. My theology is process oriented and I see the Divine in and around everyone and everything. I feel the pull of the universe toward good and recognize the importance of holding and examining our shadows as a way to become fully whole, and more ready to embrace the Divine (God, Goddess, Spirit of life, Soul, Self…we’ll explore your words together). I have companioned people who identify as LGBTQI+ and welcome all who seek companionship.
