I’m Michele Timmons, with P.UG. Spiritual Companionship. My purpose is to hold a sacred space that enables others to recognize their own divinity and truly thrive. My journey as a certificated Spiritual Companion (Spiritual Director) through Unity Worldwide Ministries is a natural extension of my lifelong passion for education and advocacy. While I also lead EnvisionEdPlus, an educational consulting firm, P.U.G. Spiritual Companionship is my "heart project." The acronym P.U.G. stands for Passionate, Understanding, Grace-Filled, and it was inspired by my black pug, Gracie. For hundreds of years, pugs have been bred specifically for companionship. They are intuitive, devoted, and exceptional listeners. In that same spirit, I offer a non-judgmental, confidential space where your story is sacred. I think of my work as offering you all of the benefits of a real pug, without the mess. 🥰 My approach is grounded in Unity and New Thought principles and my personal credo of "THRIVE": I believe that because Spirit (God, Universe, Allah, Yahweh, Mother Earth, or your own term for the divine) is all goodness and wholeness, every person possesses the innate potential to thrive. My purpose is to hold a sacred space that enables others to recognize their own divinity and truly THRIVE. I live this out through my personal credo: *Teach strategies to manifest our highest and best good. *Hear and listen to the guidance of the quiet and shy soul. *Rejoice in living, loving, and learning with and from others. *Instigate all to live our highest and best good. *Voice for those who feel voiceless. *Embrace the divinity, goodness, and wholeness of every being. I am on my 4th journey in this life and have spent the last 35 years as an adult trying to figure out what (or who) I want to be when I grow up. First, I was a high school teacher, and I discovered a passion for helping young people advocate for change in education and government. Next, as a high school administrator and charter school founder, I learned that American systems (all of them) are designed to prohibit the success of certain groups of individuals. I spent nearly a decade assisting schools and communities in designing school-based wrap-around programs and support systems for at-risk youth, in an attempt to level the playing field. The 3rd iteration of me has been as an educational consultant, grant writer, and small business owner assisting schools, districts, and youth-serving nonprofits in re-envisioning how they work with and support youth and families. Now, as I am entering my 4th life journey, I think I have figured out who I want to BE. I am a spiritual companion to: *Young people who want to discover more about their spiritual selves, *Adults exploring who they are now and who they want to become, and *Family members and loved ones of individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, embracing their own spiritual power as allies. As an educator, a wife of 32 years, and a mother of three fantastic adults, including my beloved transgender daughter, I understand the complexities of family, identity, and allyship. I am passionate about companioning others on their journeys, wherever life may take them. I believe that when we align with our spiritual nature, we don’t just survive—we THRIVE. Beyond one-on-one and group companionship, I facilitate workshops and lessons on Unity principles, including prosperity and the power of manifestation. I am a member of Unity of Columbus, Ohio, and am working towards my license as a Unity minister. I look forward to being your companion as you discover the wonder of your path, which may be religious from any faith tradition, or spiritual but not religious.
