Newell’s focus is not to nostalgically harken back to a past Celtic golden age but rather to provide us with teachings and practices of past Celtic leaders that will enable us to listen for the sacred and reverence it within and around us today. In each of the nine chapters, Newell highlights a Celtic teacher from a different moment of history, from the earliest Christian communities to those speaking to our times now, in order to illustrate how the Celtic tradition continues to evolve and grow into increasing relevance.
