There is great need in the world today for spiritual direction and companionship.These are challenging times we live in – and we believe spiritual direction and companionship should be flourishing modalities, broadly accepted and sought out by all those awakening to their spiritual journeys.
But, how many people do you know who have even heard of our healing profession? When I tell my friends and neighbors about the work we do, I am often met with two responses: the first is blank stares, because they don’t know spiritual companionship is a thing; the other can sometimes be suspicion – as they associate spiritual direction with a spiritual tradition that has harmed them in the past, either directly or indirectly.
How do we reconnect the awakening of people everywhere to their singular spiritual journeys with the contemplative listening capacities of spiritual companionship, which can aid and assist these awakenings?
Once we bridge this disconnect, I believe great things beyond our imagining are possible!
