AN INVITATION TO JOIN IN A CONTEMPLATIVE LISTENING CIRCLE
As Spiritual Companions, we welcome and accompany others on sacred journeys in the fullness of their own social locations. As we do this holy work, we need each other for support, deep connection and collective wisdom. We invite you to sit with us for an online gathering on Friday, July 25th, at 11 AM – 12:30 PM Pacific Time. In the spirit of Quaker-style meetings, we will hold sacred space for silence, prayer, and encouragement.
Come rest in the embrace of community, share from your heart’s wisdom, and draw strength from our collective presence to hold space for whatever arises. This is a place to be nourished, to dream together, and to be in solidarity as we navigate all that is unfolding in our lives and the world.
May this gathering be a source of renewal and inspiration for your spiritual journey.
Facilitators:
Eric Massanari, M.Div., is an ordained pastor in the Mennonite Church USA, living in Washington. He was also a member of the SDI Coordinating Council and an ex-board chair. He has a passion for inter-faith learning, community building, and companioning people who are exploring the fertile ground of elderhood and those who are nearing the end of life. An avid poet and essayist, Eric is a contributing author of An Open Place: The Ministry of Group Spiritual Direction.
Ravi Verma is a spiritual director and has worked professionally with religious leaders, institutions and lay leaders for over twenty-five years. Ravi’s passion is to work with individuals and groups to build bridges between parts of ourselves, with others and the cosmos based on our connection to the Divine. Ravi, born in India, is involved in emergent spiritual formation and spiritual companionship processes that serve groups on the edges and seekers exploring their unique paths. Ravi is a past member of the coordinating Council of Spiritual Directors International (SDI), the first global learning network of spiritual directors in history and currently serves as a consultant to SDI.
