Global Outreach – Spiritual Companionship in Light of Raimon Panikkar
October 22 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm PDT
What can spiritual directors learn from an interreligious philosopher, theologian, and “global monk” about the art and practice of spiritual direction? In this session, we’ll delve into the monastic archetype as a universal dimension alive in every person. Drawing from Panikkar’s vision, we’ll reflect on how spiritual direction can awaken this inner longing for what is most essential. The session will be an invitation to distinguish the role identity plays in meaning making, our connection to the earth, and reverence for life holistically. This session invites companions and seekers alike to rediscover the sacred mystery within and walk together toward a more compassionate world that affirms diversity and cultivates embodied discernment practices for liberative pathways forward.
