Profile: My name is Barbara Graves, and I am a spiritual director based in San Marcos, Texas. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I was born in Germany and moved to Austin, Texas, as a child. My interest in spirituality and the divine has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I became a Christian in high school, and my journey ultimately me to the Catholic Church, where I found a deep connection with the rich history and traditions of the faith. That said, I find spiritual connection through the mystics and poets of many traditions and paths. I am currently a student in the Spiritual Direction certification program at the Haden Institute, where I am deepening my knowledge and understanding of the spiritual direction process. As a member of Spiritual Directors International, I adhere to their code of ethics, which ensures that the spiritual direction process is a safe and supportive space for all. I believe that the spiritual journey is unique to each person, and I am honored to accompany individuals on their path. My goal as a spiritual director is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their relationship with the divine and find meaning and purpose in their lives. I welcome all people to my practice, including people of all genders, sexual orientations, (dis)abilities, religious or spiritual backgrounds (or lack thereof), races, ethnicities, creeds, political persuasions, and neurotypes.
