Profile: Andrea is a Spiritual Director, having completed her training through Sustainable Faith, she believes that contemplative practices provide us with open pathways to hear from God more clearly and to know the Spirit more deeply. She has been in full time ministry as a Board Certified Chaplain, first at a trauma center for over a decade and currently serving as Seminary Chaplain at her alma mater Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA where she earned her MAT and has also taken advantage of alumni course auditing opportunities abroad. She is one of the founding pastors of Neighborhood Abbey, a Contemplative Vineyard USA Church in Los Angeles. When asked to compare Spiritual Direction to other parts of her ministry she's said, "I enjoy the freedom of providing Spiritual Direction because it demands nothing of me but to be attentive… I have no answers; Only eyes to see and ears to hear. It's a very freeing posture to get to take." When she’s not busy with ministry, she can be found spending quality time with her two cats, Her Grayce & Lady Louise (Lulu) and her dog Sir Gerald. She enjoys a good steak, making cocktails, and entertaining friends at home. Most recently she has walked El Camino Portugues to Santiago as part of a lead team with a group of 20 pilgrims, a spirit shifting experience! Andrea is available for one-hour Spiritual Direction sessions in-person at her office in Pasadena, CA or via Zoom. To set up an initial consultation, please email or direct message her via IG @itspastorandrea.
