2022 New Contemplatives
The New Contemplatives Initiative seeks to encourage, understand and engage with spiritual directors and companions in the first half of their lives (aged 40-ish or under) by offering a container for vocational support and development.
With our conference theme of “Engage,” these New Contemplatives will play a key role in helping SDI create a truly inter-generational community.Â

Joseph Gabrielson is a Life Coach and Spiritual Teacher, and is the founder of Divine Heart Ministry. He also has a focus on special needs children, and lives in Edmonton, Alberta.
David Brick
David Brick dances, plays, loves trees and climbing them, works as a Personal Care Attendant, and is in his final year of the Aleph Ordination Program’s training for Jewish Spiritual Directors.

Jodi Lammiman is an eco-spiritual director whose work explores the intersections between personal change and systems change, and is informed by the rhythms of the natural world.
