Profile: Rev. Samuel is an ordained Interfaith Minister, having graduated from All Paths Divinity School. He currently serves multiple congregations in the Unitarian Universalist Tradition in northeast Iowa and Illinois. He holds a BA in Theology and a MA in Christian Studies and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual and Community Renewal. Samuel is also a registered member of the Association for Spiritual Integrity. A cancer survivor and member of the LGBTQ community, Samuel brings years of personal and professional experience in dealing with trauma, loss, grief, personal acceptance and self love. Focusing on paths of contemplation, mindfulness and gratitude, Samuel’s work emphasizes personal flourishing through spiritual practice and ritual and takes a holistic approach towards wellness by also incorporating habits that restore the body, mind and emotions. A free, 45 minute consultation is always scheduled to ensure that the dynamic is a good fit. All potential clients will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire regarding their overall health and wholeness.

Profile: As with the art of music, I have a passion for spiritual music-ta-tion. The word “musictation”, for me, refers to the spirit guide(s) of music. The medium of music advances and moves the mind into a contemplative realm (i.e., much like quantum physics) as it guide, align and care for the soul. As with music, I deeply listen to the story of others, tuning in to what resonates as the guiding and direction of the Divine Self within. Professionally, I am also a corporate and tax agent (specialize in nonprofit) with 35 years of legal disciplines. In my early years of life (6 to 7 years of age), I started playing piano for my father’s pentecostal church and later was ordained to serve as a minister of music for many churches in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. With a deep desire and quest to share this gift with the world, in 2005 thru 2008, I enrolled, attended and graduated from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) Spiritual Direction program and training. My experiences span from interspiritually, to and including, African (traditional and indigenous) spirituality and much more. I am also a mystic at heart and a member of the Parliament of the World's Religions. From musictation, meditations and a variety of spiritual rituals with individuals and groups of many faith ventures and experiences over decades, I have experienced the Divine manifesting in and as all things and yet one. I am an author and spiritual intuitive, providing spiritual direction to others on the path of love, peace, joy, hope and healing in these transitional times. Based in Los Angeles and Kern counties, I provide services in a variety of manners such as: telephone, zoom, facetime, in-person) and facilitate an annual retreat in California.

Profile: Welcome! I am so glad you stopped by. I am trained in the evocative method of spiritual companioning (through the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction)- which means I seek to hold sacred space for another as they ask and live the questions of life and faith. This journeying together is marked by the utmost compassion and care for your story and experience and a deep knowing that Spirit is present and at work. It is my privilege to reflect, as a mirror, the very Spirit and light of you, the directee, as you discern, wrestle, and savor the experience of what it is to be human. A little about me. I am a wife and mother and have worked in advocacy on a variety of social justice issues, and also am a nonprofit management consultant. I have led non-denominational Bible study small groups for several years. But perhaps more important than any degree or job is that I have lived enough hardship in life to understand the both/and, and I am comfortable wrestling with hard things and ultimately understanding that God, or the Divine, is a mystery – in many ways. And, to a great extent, this mysteriousness gives great comfort because that means there is goodness beyond my wildest imagination. I am comfortable working with a variety of orientations and religious backgrounds and offer a judgement free and compassionate space for all who come. I look forward to the opportunity to walk with you as you savor, question, find clarity, and connect more deeply with the Divine one who indeed dwells within each of us.

Profile: Gradually recognizing the movements of the Spirit in one’s life, wrestling with the question of God, allowing for the contemplative aspects of life to blossom. In all of my work, art has a prominent place, allowing God to communicate life through words, silence, sounds and images. I received formation at the Emmaus School of the Upper Room (2017-18). I am a member of L'Arche Ottawa. My approach marked by ecumenism, and it is an intensely contemplative approach: a spirituality nourished by the desert fathers and monastics of the church. I love to work with those whose spirituality is not readily recognized.
