SUMMARY:SDI Australia Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Australian SDI members and friends are warmly invited to join this free offering\, hosted by SDI Australia Convenor Jane Mahon. \n\n\n\nA Long Loving Look at the Real: The Work of Silence \n\n\n\nIn this talk\, Sarah Bachelard will share how a practice of silent contemplative prayer deepens our listening and availability\, enabling us to move beyond the impulse to control or fix and attend more truthfully to what is. There will be an opportunity to share in a brief time of meditation and reflect on the connection between contemplative practice and spiritual growth. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSarah Bachelard is a theologian\, retreat leader and founder of Benedictus Contemplative Church\, based in Canberra\, Australia. She is a teacher with the World Community for Christian Meditation\, and her books include Experiencing God in a Time of Crisis\, Poetica Divina: Poems to Redeem a Prose World\, and Pools of Grace: The Gift and Call of Contemplative Worship. Sarah loves to discern connections between the wisdom of tradition\, contemplative practice and lived experience. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFacilitated by Jane Mahon\, SDI Australia Convenor. Jane is a Benedictine Oblate\, police chaplain\, and spiritual resilience teacher whose work sits at the intersection of spiritual companionship\, frontline chaplaincy\, and trauma-informed care. \n\n\n\n\n\n	\n	\n	\n	\n \n\n \n Register\n Register\n \n There were errors with your submission.
